JATOBA (Hymenaea courbaril) is an exotic wood specieS native to the Caribbean and Central and South America. Jatoba is very high branched tree. At the bottom, tree produces a large amount of resin used in the paint production. Due to its medicinal properties Jatoba is often used in traditional medicine. As a technical wood jatoba has exceptional hardness and durability and is, therefore, widely used in flooring and furniture industry. Jatoba flooring is due to its high resistance suitable for high loaded and high traffic areas. Jatoba parquet has a distinct, characteristic reddish–brown color.
Parquet jatoba can be found in the following classes: A / B, C, and treatments: raw, lacquered, oiled and brushed.
